About Us
Best Bites is a vocational service within Wirral Evolutions that provides training for adults with disabilities, and adults with autism. We provide a person-centred service that offers people the opportunity to train in a real working environment in the centre of local communities on the Wirral.
Best Bites offers people the opportunity to be part of a two-year pathway that enables them to build life and work skills, with a possibility of progression to voluntary or paid employment in the future.
During the journey with Best Bites people we support can participate in variety of activities that equip them with knowledge, skills and experiences:
- Training in a real working catering and hospitality setting
- Working as part of a team of professionally trained staff
- Training in all aspects of Health and Safety, and Food Safety
- Gaining customer service and hospitality skills
- Gaining food preparation and outside catering experience
- Working to achieve recognised professional qualifications via Open Awards
- Building independence and life skills that can be transferred to settings outside of day services
- Gaining knowledge in CV writing and training in interview techniques
- Personal development and confidence building skills
- The opportunity to partake in a pathway to voluntarily or paid employment

People we support and our well-trained professional staff have more than 10 years’ experience in providing excellent quality outside catering, cakes and patisserie baking provided to local communities in different parts of Wirral.
Our Best Bites service at Bluebelles Tea Room was nominated for 'Best of 2022 Top Breakfasts' by the Wirral Globe.
Currently Best Bites operates from two locations:
Bluebelles Tea Rooms (West Kirby)
Bluebelles was originally established in The Grange in Wallasey, where it operated for a number of years. In June 2025, Bluebelles moved location to West Kirby in June 2025. Bluebelles offers an extensive menu of hot and cold food, homemade cakes, patisserie, hot and cold drinks as well as catering for small events in The Grange function room.

Courtyard Café (Royden Park)
The Courtyard Cafe is Best Bites' newest venue, opened with much fanfare by the Mayor of Wirral, Jeff Green on the 5th September 2022. The cafe is open seven days a week, 9am to 4pm.
