6th July 2023 at BirkenEd's Place 8-10 Borough Pavement Grange Precinct CH41 2XX

There is a lot of investment taking place and planned for Birkenhead. In BirkenEd’s Place, we’ve shared plans for the creation of new homes, neighbourhoods, green spaces, active travel routes and a revitalised town centre. This investment in the buildings and public places will help to transform Birkenhead, making it a greener, safer, more vibrant place to live and work.

We know there are many other challenges which need addressing beyond physical change. In BirkenEd’s Place from 28th June – 11th July, we’ll be exploring what change people want to see, and what would make the greatest difference to the lives of those who live and spend time there.

Workshop Purpose

We know there are many wonderful social organisations and local businesses doing things already to support local people in the town, all working to have a positive impact. Their knowledge and experiences are invaluable in ensuring that future Social Value Investment and Policy responds to local need.

Who is it for?

We’re inviting social businesses, charities and community organisations to come and share the things that are most needed for them to have greater impact. What would support them and their service? Perhaps it’s money, space, expertise, support…

We’ll be exploring these issues together to help inform thinking about future Social Value approaches. What we hear will be fed back to the council to help shape their conversations and thinking about how investment can help to deliver the changes people most need.
