I Care Ambassador Experiences

Picture3

I’m Anne; I recently undertook my first role as an I Care Ambassador when I went to Conway Park College. I met a student studying Health & Social Care and was able to share with her my first hand experiences as a carer. The student asked me questions and I was able to relate to these from my many years working in Day Services and Home Care.

Another student from Conway park visited my place of work; Heswall Centre.  I showed her around and described to her the wide and varied roles of a carer and explained how satisfying the work is.

The student was engaged throughout the visit and appeared very keen and interested.

Both visits were very rewarding for both me and the students. I was happy to be able to share my experiences and to be of benefit to younger people wishing to start a career in the caring profession.
