Wirral’s aspiration is to ensure that all people with disabilities and their families have a fulfilling life that includes opportunities to work, study and enjoy social and leisure activities. Wirral Evolutions is a Local Authority Company (LAC), a separate organisation that remains 100% owned by Wirral Council.

Co-production is central to achieving our objectives of personalising services and increasing choice and control for service users and carers. It will help Wirral Council to ensure that it meets the needs of people who use its services.

In April 2014, a number of co-design reference groups were set up to bring together people who use the services and their carers along with staff, managers and volunteers. The groups ensured a collective voice and involvement to establish values, principles and objectives inform the future direction of the organisation.

Wirral Evolutions works with people who use services and carers to offer inclusive support facilities that are designed with their full involvement and tailored to meet their needs. The organisation is focused on:

  • Delivering quality provision
  • Being flexible and innovative to meet people’s aspirations
  • Providing access to timely, quality activities and service
  • Preventing people from being social excluded

Mission Statement
