Pensby Wood Centre offers support to people who have a range of profound disabilities. They provide a range of sensory experiences to enable participation in a variety of activities. All sessions at the setting are adapted to ensure that people get maximum experience and enjoyment when taking part.
Pensby Wood was awarded a capital bid in July 2017 for a complete refurbishment. The building reopened on 19th July 2018 and now has nine activity areas: a sensory room, garden room, music room, sensory cooking kitchen, messy art room, medication room, pamper room, sport and wheelchair dance area, Immersive interactive room and spa area. The grounds are now home to a sensory garden with the first wheelchair swing on the Wirral.
